It was time to do something for me.
Life was and is busy. Family, friends and work took up lots of time plus a bit of gym and lots of walking.
It was all crammed in.
I love walking and being outdoors I thought being part of Women’s Fitness Adventures would be a good fit. I already knew Yvonne (Women’s Fitness Adventures Founder) and thought the organizational side would be done well.
Plus there started to be more and more weekend adventures which suited me because I work full time.
In the beginning turning up to meet a group of women I did not know and did not know if I could keep up with was probably my biggest achievement.
As it turned out it didn’t matter because everyone is welcoming and wanting you to succeed for yourself.
Soon other achievements followed, especially the increase in my fitness without really realizing it was happening.
I read somewhere a challenge will make you happier than just about anything else.
So once I started I found I was organising things around the hikes, training and adventures and making time for me.

I love the challenge of the adventures and the enjoy being part of a community
My biggest highlight was Kangaroo Island last year. The training and other hikes paid off as I was able to comfortably hike every single day and enjoy every part of the Kangaroo Island experience.
Just like I did, I would say to any woman, Do it NOW.
Put simply – community, fitness, chat, new people – STRESS BUSTER!
