I have been a bush walker most of my life and especially over the past 20 years.
About 4 years ago I was on a bush walk at Venmans Bush Reserve with Women’s Fitness Adventures and was very impressed with the concept of doing this on a regular basis with likeminded companions in various places.
I joined Women’s Fitness Adventures to expand my avenues of walking and have had countless exciting shared experiences and adventures with many great women.
My biggest achievements has been my fitness level.
I have also become a stronger person mentally and emotionally.
When I started walking I would walk about 45 minutes, about 4 times a week. Now I walk every day for approximately 1 hour 30 mins to 1 hour 45 mins or longer.
My increased fitness has allowed me to walk across the top of rocks and along the pebble beach on our Yuraygir Coastal Hike.
In the last 12 months I have hiked in many National Parks in Tasmania, Queensland and New Zealand without any problems. I have also enjoyed finding out about my beautiful city of Brisbane on the Women’s Fitness Adventures City walks.
Even though I have been retired for 3 years life is still busy, having 10 grandchildren and an elderly parent to care for.

Life has not changed but expanded.
I have never gone to a gym but stay fit by exercising in our natural wonders. I do my Tai chi in my garden and my walks are either around home or in the many National Parks in our beautiful country and New Zealand.
