Georgie found Women’s Fitness Adventures the opportunity that she had been waiting for to discover herself in Adventure.
After some major life changes, Georgie knew it was time to focus on herself and tackle her bucket list of Adventures. Newly separated and with a sense that time was slipping by, she decided to leap into something she had always dreamed of – exploring the great outdoors.
Georgie was eager for Adventure but her friends weren’t ready to travel. She didn’t want to wait any longer, and that’s when she discovered Women’s Fitness Adventures.
What drew Georgie to this unique community was how it offers more than just hikes. It provides a space where women can learn new skills, build confidence, and form lasting friendships. For Georgie, it was the perfect opportunity to kick-start her journey of self-discovery.
From her very first hike, Georgie was welcomed into a warm, supportive group of women who shared her passion for fitness and adventure. Even though she was nervous, she immediately felt like she belonged. “Showing up for that hike was a milestone for me,” she says.
But Georgie didn’t stop there. With the support and encouragement of the Women’s Fitness Adventures community, she set her sights on something bigger: a Multi Day Adventure in New Zealand.
Georgie found it very helpful the way Women’s Fitness Adventures structures training and preparation programs. She found reassurance that all the details are planned out in advance and achievable.
“I completed the suggested training program and learned about the necessary hiking gear – huge steps for me, both personally and as part of my journey with Women’s Fitness Adventures,” she explains. “Booking the trip and actually making it to the airport was my biggest achievement so far.”

That sense of accomplishment isn’t something Georgie takes lightly. For her, each adventure has been a reminder that she is capable of more than she ever imagined. She admits she isn’t the most consistent, but keeps at it because fitness is essential for mental health and helps her unwind. Plus, being able to age healthily means Georgie can remain capable of living out her dreams of travel and exploration.
Before becoming a member, Georgie found it tough to find others with schedules that aligned with her busy life. Being a working mum, her desire for adventures and challenges was put aside to care for others. Women’s Fitness Adventures has also opened the door to new friendships and social connections. “It’s been wonderful meeting so many like-minded women who share a passion for adventure and the outdoors.”

For Georgie, it’s this combination of fitness, friendship, and shared experiences that makes Women’s Fitness Adventures so special. It’s not just about reaching the top of a mountain—it’s about the journey, the personal growth, and the bonds formed along the way. The social aspect is just as important as the physical challenges. It’s so rewarding to be part of a community that genuinely supports one another.
Georgie’s advice for anyone thinking about joining?
“Just give it a try,” she says. “Come along for one hike or even an online class. You might find exactly what you’ve been looking for—whether it’s a new fitness routine, a sense of accomplishment, or a group of amazing women who will support you.”
