Our 2021 ” Top 3″ Favourites.

Royal National Park with Women's Fitness Adventures

So here we are again, at the start of a brand new year.

I know I have said this before, but if we have learned ONLY one thing over the past 2 years, it’s that nothing is certain and we can’t bank on tomorrow turning out as planned.

Which is why we need to make the most of NOW and be purposeful and intentional in our habits and lives.

Below I will share with you my 2021 “TOP 3” Women’s Fitness Adventures topics across a variety of categories.

But before I do, let me share with you my personal journey for 2021. With 2020 being a super tough year, with the deep impact of changes around travel, adventures and in person events slowing us down, to my father passing away and of course, the dreaded “C” word dominating everything I knew I had to make 2021 DIFFERENT.

So I did. I focused on what I could control and I am all the better for it. Here’s a few highlights.

  • Focusing on sleep. I am an early riser (4.30-5am each day) so that meant turning my day upside down a little so that I could get to bed earlier. It made all the difference getting those “deep sleep” hours in before midnight.
  • I focused on what I ate. Yes, I generally eat well but I did pull myself up and take a good look at my snacking and the quality of my food. And I did this consistently over 12 months, resulting in a more toned and slightly leaner me.
  • I set and showed up for my own personal fitness goals – remember our theory “consistency over time” = results. So I got stronger at the gym, ran faster than previous years and could carry my full pack (20 +kg) over any terrain in any weather conditions whilst remaining injury free.
  • And perhaps the biggest of all – I consistently & intentionally set an “end of day” work hour so that I could get balance in my day and complete online yoga classes with regularity.

Here I am at the beginning of 2022, a stronger version of the me that entered 2021. What I am most proud of is that the time passed anyway, I used that time wisely and I am NOT sitting here with the same story from last year.

At Women’s Fitness Adventures we had so many successes and achievements. My top 3 across all categories are below. I do hope you enjoy them.

The Reasons We Walk

Why do we walk? The simple act of putting one foot in front of the other gives us freedom to go anywhere. We can speed it up with running or slow it down with a stroll. From the moment we are born, we are moving. From the tummy roll to sitting up, then crawling, then
