How to identify your current hiking fitness level

When we talk about Hiking Fitness, it is NOT ONLY about Cardio fitness (ie getting out of breath and how quickly we recover).

Use the guide below to identify your current hiking fitness level across the FOUR key indicators of hiking fitness:

  • Exercise
  • Surfaces & Climbing
  • Hiking experience
  • Carrying weight (backpack).
  • Identifying where you are now gives you the guidelines to map out your 10 week hike training plan.

Please do this BEFORE the first session if you can so that you can ask questions.
