Monday 7th February 2022
Depending where you are coming from, it could be an early start today as we head to the airport for our flight to Melbourne to begin our High Country adventure. Please note that depending on your city of departure you may need to arrive in Melbourne Sunday night to meet our transfers.
Upon arrival, we will be picked up at the airport in our mini bus. If you are already in Melbourne you can meet us at the pick up point.
En-route we will stop at Euroa for morning tea and a chance to stretch our legs.
By lunch time we’ll be ready for a leisurely exploration of some of the lower walks in Mt Buffalo National Park.
This evening we’ll settle into our accommodation in Bright – our base for the rest of the adventure.
Tonight we enjoy our Welcome Dinner and the opportunity for all of us to anticipate the days ahead.

Tuesday 8th February 2022
Mt Buffalo National Park
After a hearty breakfast we head back to the to the magnificent granite mass of Mt Buffalo National Park to do ‘The Big Walk’.
Today’s hike is UPHILL.
We pass through several vegetation zones as the altitude increases, providing us with spectacular views of the Australian Alps.
Here we can soak up the surroundings in this magnificent part of the world.
Our hike finishes at The Gorge – where the granite walls drop 300 metres to form a spectacular sight.
After our hike we’ll take a drive around the top of Mt Buffalo to wonder at the spectacular granite formations that rise from the plateau.
Tonight our guides will cook a delicious dinner in our guest house.

Wednesday 9th February 2022
Falls Creek & the Bogong High Plains
After a delicious breakfast our hike today will find us trekking through pockets of snow gum and alpine meadows of the Bogong High Plains whilst admiring the surrounding views.
We follow some of the 650km Australian Alpine Walking Track and head to the summit of Mt Nelse for some great views.
We’ll also visit one of the famous mountain huts of the Victorian high country (think Man from Snowy River)
Returning to our accommodation we are again treated to another delicious meal cooked by our guides

Thursday 10th February 2022
Razorback Ridge – Mt Feathertop
We need to stock up with a hearty breakfast today as it is our summit day for Mt Feathertop!
It’s a fairly big day today, but certainly one not to miss!
We begin our hike on one of the most iconic walks in Victoria, the Razorback Ridge.
This classic track crosses the high ridge linking Mt Hotham to Mt Feathertop. Being mainly above the tree line, the ridge hike gives wonderful views of the surrounding alps.
The final part of the hike to the summit of Mt Feathertop is a fairly steep climb!!
Once at the summit you’ll enjoy outstanding 360 degree views as a visual feast for the eyes and a lasting memory and reward for your effort. What an achievement! Be sure to have the camera.
We return back the way we came along the Razorback Ridge, witnessing the Alps change their mood in the afternoon light.
Tonight over another delicious dinner we reflect on the days achievements and at the memories and friendships we have made.

Cherry & Canyon Walks – return to Melbourne
What better way to follow up yesterday’s challenging hike to Mt Feathertop than a peaceful morning spent at your leisure in Bright.
The choice this morning is yours.
You can stroll the banks of the Ovens River to the Bright Canyon where we’ll see more evidence of the region’s gold mining era.
Or you may prefer to simply soak up the quaint atmosphere of Bright in one of the many local cafes or artisan boutiques.
To cap off a wonderful mini break adventure, we have one last adventure to complete – a delightful lunch at an iconic winery en route to Melbourne and the airport
Sadly the adventure is over once we return to Melbourne. To ensure enough time, please do not book flights leaving Melbourne until after 7pm.

On our Victorian High Country Mini Break Away Adventure all our accommodation is in a guest house in Bright where we can rest, relax and recharge after a day’s hiking.
With hot showers, comfortable beds and communal dining/lounging you will be refreshed and ready to hike again the following day.
Our adventure offers 4 nights in a guest house style accommodation.

Our Victorian High Country Mini Break Away Adventure goes hand in hand with great food.
From arrival in Bright to return to Melbourne Airport, all delicious food and snacks are included.
We have designed delicious and nutritious meals to satisfy the hungry hiker along with snacks and treats to suit all taste buds. Our meals cater for food allergies and intolerances where applicable.
Our Traditional Celebration and Awards Lunch is held at an iconic location unique to the The Victorian High Country. A perfect way to recognise achievement and end the adventure.

TRAVEL AND TRANSFERS
It’s up to you whether you want to travel on the same flights as your Women’s Fitness Adventures C.R.E.W Leader or meet us in Melbourne.
We will confirm with you our Leader flight details so you can make your own flight arrangements.
Regardless of whether you travel with your Women’s Fitness Adventures C.R.E.W Leader or meet us at the pick up point, transfers from Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine) to Bright and return to airport are included as we leave as a group from the Melbourne airport on this trip.
All of our transfers occur in Commercially Operated and Transport Department Approved Vehicles
From the moment you land in Melbourne (or on the plane if you decide to travel together), until the time of your return, your Women’s Fitness Adventures C.R.E.W Leader is with you every step of the way.
Our goal is to ensure you have a fabulous adventure hiking the Victorian High Country.
Our Leaders are fully trained in Remote Area First Aid and hold current CPR qualifications.
With our local Guides and partner’s experience of this area, they will share the highlights, points of interest, scenic viewpoints and more.

In addition to your own gear, your C.R.E.W Leaders are carrying Emergency Communications Equipment and a comprehensive Group First Aid Kit
Safety is our number one priority.
Your Women’s Fitness Adventures Leader is fully trained in Remote Area First Aid and holds current CPR Qualifications.
In addition, we carry a group first aid kit and emergency communications equipment
All our transportation is provided in commercially registered, expertly maintained tour vehicles & trailers, with airport and hotel pick up and drop off where applicable.
We work with a local partner in order for our group to enjoy the knowledge and insight of the local area.
Working with our Partner and your C.R.E.W Leader, we will share the highlights, points of interest, scenic viewpoints and more throughout the Victorian High Country.
Supported by local business, you will come away with a greater understanding of why this is one of Australia’s iconic areas.
Our C.R.E.W Leaders bring with them extensive knowledge in training women for multi day hikes. Combined, they have also hiked many of the world’s great trails and know what the sense of achievement is like.
Our Victorian High Country Fitness Adventure is graded Introductory – Moderate.
The hiking is undulating with daily hikes from 14-18km.
One of the most common asked questions is “Will I be fit enough?”
As soon as you book your multi day Adventure, you can get started with training.
Through booking into the adventure early and allowing time to train this is an achievable goal – provided you put in the training.
Here’s what you get:

- One online Group Adventure meeting for fitness motivation, hints, tips and Q&A sessions
- Access to the closed Victorian High Country Fitness Adventure Facebook Group.
In person Group Hike Training is available and is an optional extra. Full details and a link to purchase the sessions is available in the specific Member Resources page for this adventure.
From the moment you book on to the Victorian High Country Fitness Adventure, you will begin to make new friends.
This can be either through the training, the closed Facebook Group, the online meetings or at other adventures.
Once your payment is confirmed, you will be invited into a closed Facebook Group Page that you have access to, where you can converse with your fellow hikers.

Frequently Asked Questions
What you carry
You will be required to carry a day pack of approximately 5-7kg.
Your pack will include the following items: minimum of 2 litres water, sunscreen, raincoat, warm top, lunch, camera, hat and any items of a personal nature, including personal first aid/medications.
A comprehensive gear list will be supplied and explained once your booking is confirmed.
We recommend that you have a moderate level of fitness for this adventure. You should be able to walk consecutive days, minimum 15km/day and have a good level of cardio fitness.
Our goal is to give you the best adventure possible.
We know, from experience and feedback, that the fitter you are, the more you will enjoy the adventure. You are also less likely to sustain an injury.
We advise you do as much training as you can before the trip, making sure you include hills in your training. The more you train for this hike, the easier you will handle the terrain and the more you will enjoy this wonderful part of the world.
As much as we would like to, we have no control over the weather.
Daytime temperatures may vary from low teens to high 20’s. Night time temperatures can get cold.
That’s why it’s important to come along with an open mind ready for an awesome experience whatever the weather.
It is very important you bring the right gear for the conditions.
As it is an Alpine region in Victoria, temperatures can vary and the weather can change quickly.
With our comprehensive gear list and briefing sessions, you will be more than prepared.
In the event of extreme weather conditions, the adventure may vary from the itinerary.
Please be aware of this and accept this as part of the adventure. Your personal safety is our highest priority.

Please read carefully the terms and conditions of this contract.
These should also be read in conjunction with the website Terms and Conditions.
In completing and submitting the Booking Form, you agree to be bound by these conditions which constitute the agreement between Women’s Fitness Adventures ABN 99 126 975 880 and you.
No purported variation of these conditions will be effective unless in writing and signed by a person so authorised by Women’s Fitness Adventures. In these terms and conditions reference to “Women’s Fitness Adventures representatives” means staff of Women’s Fitness Adventures and its officers, employees, agents, licensees, guides and other third parties and representatives and the land management authorities in each country in which the tour is conducted, or any of them.
Women’s Fitness Adventures reserves the right to update the Booking Terms and Conditions at any time and will advise you in writing of any changes ahead of time.
For International Adventures please note a passport is required for all international travel and a minimum 6 months validity is required on your passport.
Final Itineraries and gear lists and other relevant information will be emailed no later than 14-21 days prior to adventure departure date.
All prices are subject to availability and can be withdrawn or varied without notice. The price is only guaranteed once paid for in full by you.
Price changes can occur between the time you make a reservation and the date of full payment. Therefore pricing is subject to change until final payment has been received.
Factors influencing price changes can be currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges, taxes and other provider increases outside of our control. Please be aware of this.
Note you must be a financial member AT THE TIME OF YOUR ADVENTURE DEPARTURE to access the member price. If you are not a financial member at the time of your adventure departure you will need to pay the difference between the member and non member price for this adventure.
Payment Terms and Cancellation Policy
Please note the payment terms including the cancellation policy.
- An initial non refundable deposit of 25% is required to secure your place on this adventure.
- Once a booking is confirmed, payment must be received within the payment terms as advised by Women’s Fitness Adventures in the table below.
- Failure to pay within the deadline will result in automatic cancellation of your booking.
- Payments are accepted by direct deposit, PayPal or by credit card. There are no credit card surcharges for bookings made through the Women’s Fitness Adventures website
- When your credit card is processed by Women’s Fitness Adventures you agree to not have your payment ‘charged back’ or reversed by your credit card provider where the services have been provided.

All cancellations must be in writing and emailed to [email protected] Your cancellation date is the date when written notification is received.
No refunds are provided should you have to leave the adventure early.
As our adventures are so popular, please be aware that if you cancel your place, it will most likely be taken by someone else so you should consider this carefully.
It is your responsibility to ensure you have travel insurance which is suitable for your booked adventure and that it covers those travel arrangements. You warrant that you have made appropriate enquiries and sought advice on your specific travel insurance requirements.
A checklist for your adventure will be provided which outlines the MINIMUM Travel Insurance you are required to hold to adventure with Women’s Fitness Adventures.
Please note that some credit card providers will provide the card holder with travel insurance. Where you are paying for all or any part of the services arranged through us by credit card and you intend to use travel insurance provided by the credit card provider you acknowledge that Women’s Fitness Adventures has advised the minimum Travel Insurance requirements needed to participate in this adventure and that your credit card insurance complies with these minimum requirements
You acknowledge that Women’s Fitness Adventures has advised on the MINIMUM travel insurance required and that you waive any claim against Women’s Fitness Adventures in respect of any loss or damage you may suffer as a result of you failing to take out any or adequate travel insurance.
- Travel insurance must be taken out within 2 days of making your initial booking, or the next available business day if it is a weekend. A copy of your Travel Documentation is required to be supplied along with your completed Participant Document to guarantee your place.
- Please make sure that you read, understand and accept all of the fine print contained within your insurance policy before purchase to ensure it covers all of your personal requirements.
- Please ensure your Travel Insurance covers you for cancellation, medical and repatriation expenses, personal injury and accident, death, loss of personal baggage and money and personal liability insurance. It is also important to read the fine print in relation to what is included/excluded from your policy.
- If using your credit card insurance, please check the terms and conditions on this before booking with us.
Women’s Fitness Adventures and its partners are not liable for any out of pocket expenses that insurance will not cover and will not be held responsible financially or in kind should your insurance not cover your personal circumstances.

Itineraries and other details are published in good faith as statements of intention only and reasonable changes in the itinerary and related items may be made where deemed necessary or advisable by Women’s Fitness Adventures.
The information contained in Women’s Fitness Adventures website, Facebook Pages, brochures, itineraries, and any other published content, is to the best of Women’s Fitness Adventures knowledge, correct at the time of publication.
Route changes, Postponement, Cancellation or Delay
Women’s Fitness Adventures reserves the right to:
- Cancel or modify any routes within the adventures or objectives set out in the itinerary; or
- Substitute different or equivalent routes within the adventures in place of cancelled or modified routes, or
- Postpone, cancel or delay (either in relation to the departure or arrival times or the duration of the adventures) any such aspect of the tour if, at the absolute discretion of Women’s Fitness Adventures, it is necessary to do so due to inclement weather, snow or icy conditions or conditions that are otherwise likely to be hazardous or dangerous or due to any other adverse or threatening conditions whether political or military or terrorist or otherwise or if, in the absolute discretion of Women’s Fitness Adventures there is a likelihood of any such event occurring which may impact upon the safety of the participants, or if an act or omission of a third party prevents the tour or the aspect of the tour being undertaken in accordance with your booking or for any other reason considered necessary by Women’s Fitness Adventures.
- In the event of any change, modification, cancellation postponement or delay under this condition, you acknowledge that you will have no right of refund of the adventure price (whether in whole or in part) and no right to claim compensation for any injury, loss or damage or other additional expenses incurred by virtue of the change, modification, cancellation postponement or delay.
- Women’s Fitness Adventures also reserves, at its absolute discretion, the right to cancel any tour due to any government travel warning or advice, or any change in such warning or advice. Travel insurance may compensate you depending on the circumstances.
Cancellation by Women’s Fitness Adventures
Women’s Fitness Adventures reserves the right to cancel a departure and will advise you of such cancellations no later than 14 days before the adventure departure date.
Women’s Fitness Adventures reserve the right either before or during the course of the adventure to refuse to carry or accommodate any client which it reasonably considers, in the light of the best interests of all participants within the adventure group and crew, to be unsuitable by reason of physical or mental condition or unruly behaviour.
Women’s Fitness Adventures will not be liable for any delay in, change to or cancellation of trips due to ‘Force Majeure’. ‘Force Majeure’ definition means a circumstance beyond the reasonable control of Women’s Fitness Adventures and includes, but is not limited to, war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, disease, industrial or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and strikes.
If due to ‘Force Majeure’ or government travel advice, Women’s Fitness Adventures reserves the right to cancel a departure at any time. With any form of cancellation, Women’s Fitness Adventures will do its best to offer you alternative arrangements if available, and if the price of your alternative adventure is of lower value than the original booking we will refund the difference to you. If you do not accept alternative arrangements we will provide you with a Travel Credit for the amount you have paid to Women’s Fitness Adventures, (in case of ‘Force Majeure’ or government travel advice refunds will be less any unrecoverable costs). Women’s Fitness Adventures will not be liable for any additional costs incurred by you.
Covid-19 Specifically for the Victorian High Country Fitness Adventure
Please note that if we are unable to conduct this adventure due to Queensland and/or Australian Government restrictions imposed around travel and/ or border closures due to Covid-19, then the following will apply
- If the Victorian High Country Fitness Adventure is postponed due to Government restrictions relating to Covid-19 your place will be transferred straight over to the same adventure on another date as advised by Women’s Fitness Adventures.
- If you are unable to participate in the adventure on the new (advised) date then this will be considered a cancellation and our standard Booking Terms and Conditions apply.
- If you decide to cancel your place on the adventure and there are no travel restrictions in place for our Victorian High Country Fitness Adventure, our standard cancellation policy applies.
- By booking into the Adventure you accept that the dates may change and the onus is on you to be flexible. We strongly recommend you ONLY book into this adventure if you accept these terms in their entirety.
- Terms and conditions are subject to change at any time and we will notify you of those changes in writing ahead of time.

Cancellation due to small adventure numbers
Women’s Fitness Adventures reserves the right to cancel any adventure at any time prior to departure in the event that there are too few people booked on the adventure. In this case, you will be given a full refund of the amount already paid by you. You will not be entitled to claim any additional amounts or seek any compensation for any injury, loss, expenses or damage (either direct or consequential) or for any loss of time or inconvenience which may result from such cancellation (including but not limited to visa, passport and vaccination charges, or departure, gear purchases, airport and airline taxes or annual leave).
We require a minimum of 16 trekkers for the Victorian High Country Fitness Adventure. If numbers do not reach this level we reserve the right to cancel, or change the dates of the adventure or refer you to another existing adventure.
Adventure numbers are regularly reviewed and we will notify you of any cancellations no later than 14 days prior to your selected trek.
Vaccinations and COVID-19 Proof of Vaccination
Certain countries and Principals require that travellers be vaccinated against specific infection (including but not limited to COVID vaccinations) and/or diseases. Women’s Fitness Adventures strongly recommends that you check with your doctor and the Embassies of countries to which you are travelling to with respect to any health requirements.
As Governments and Principals start to open and accept clients their requirements for Covid vaccinations, PCR Tests and other requirements are constantly evolving. Whilst Women’s Fitness Adventures may assist you in navigating these travel requirements you are ultimately responsible for all medical & travel-related documentation required by state, federal or international authorities that allow entry or exit into their state, territory, return to Australia or overseas travel from Australia to another country. You should ensure that you have satisfied yourself that you have all the required documents before booking your travel and keep yourself up to date on any changes to these requirements.
If provided by you, you authorise Women’s Fitness Adventures to store a copy of all relevant COVID vaccination certificates and forward a copy to any of our Adventure Partners, as reasonably required for your specific adventure.
It is your responsibility and you must advise women’s Fitness Adventures of any pre-existing medical condition and/or disability that might reasonably be expected to increase the risk of you requiring medical attention while on our tours. Women’s Fitness Adventures or our suppliers may require additional medical assessment by a medical practitioner. Women’s Fitness Adventures reserves the right, at its reasonable discretion, to cancel your booking and refund the money paid by you, less any unrecoverable costs. Women’s Fitness Adventures also reserves the right to cancel your participation in a trip at any time, including after the commencement of your trip, with no right of refund if your medical condition and/or disability could be reasonably expected to affect the normal conduct of the trip and the enjoyment of other trip members.
