Step Fit Training

Short. Focused. Trail-Ready.

Step Fit Training is your weekly 15-minute lower-body strength and stamina session, designed specifically for hikers. Using a stair, step, or low bench, you’ll build the glute power, leg strength, and endurance needed for confident, efficient hiking.

Led live each week (with replays available), this visual, on-camera session is the perfect complement to Trail Fit Training — and ideal for anyone who wants to hike stronger, lift their feet higher, and reduce fatigue on the trail.

Duration: 15 minutes
Format: Live + Replay
Equipment: Step, stair, or low bench, supportive shoes, water
Recommended Frequency: Twice weekly (one live, one recorded)

Through the convenience of ZOOM technology, join us directly from your home or any location you choose.

Under the expert guidance of Your Women’s Fitness Adventures C.R.E.W Leader – a Certified Personal Trainer  Leader, these workouts are designed to push your fitness boundaries.

Please note that the session begins at 5pm (Brisbane Time). Please ensure you come to the session warmed up.

How does it work?

What do I need to join the session?
You’ll need a phone, tablet, or computer with internet access and Zoom installed. Make sure you’ve got a bit of space to move safely — enough for stepping up, stepping down, and a little side-to-side movement.

What if I don’t have a step or stair?
You can use any secure, stable surface with a bit of elevation (5-20cm works best) — like a low bench, a sturdy box, or even a bottom stair. It must be safe, non-slip, and on a flat surface.

Do I need a fitness step or special equipment?
Not at all. You can absolutely use what you have at home. If you prefer to purchase a fitness step, that’s fine too — just make sure it’s solid, grippy, and doesn’t shift underfoot.

Can I do the session barefoot?
We recommend supportive shoes (your sports/walking shoes are ideal). This protects your feet and knees as you step — especially as the intensity increases over time.

What if I miss the live session?
You’ll find the replay in your Member Dashboard within 24 hours. We encourage you to do two sessions per week — one live and one replay — to build consistency and see results.

I’m new / recovering / unsure. Can I still do it?
Yes! This session is low-impact and fully guided. You can go at your own pace, and we’ll always offer technique cues and modifications. It’s suitable for all fitness levels.

Why only 15 minutes?
Because it’s focused. Step Fit Training targets the exact muscles and movement patterns you use on the trail — glutes, legs, balance, and coordination. Short and specific means you can be consistent, recover well, and see real results over time.

We understand that life happens, and plans can change. However, to ensure the smooth running of our session, please note the following:
  • All bookings for Step Fit Training are final.
  • If you are a Women’s Fitness Adventures member, then this session is all inclusive of your membership.
  • Should you no longer be able to attend we would appreciate you contacting the office to advise
  • No refunds, credits or transfers will be available once payment is confirmed.
