Come join us on the Gold Coast for a 3 session series with the focus on Sand walking.

The series is designed to build strength and endurance for walking in sand – whether that is for a one day adventure or a multi day adventure.

The first session delivers skills related to walking in sand.

The Second lesson will establish and build on these skills.

The Third lesson is a full day hike on the beach.

At the end of the three sessions, you will feel stronger and more confident to take on trails with sand.

These sessions have been designed based on member feedback, requests and surveys as well as tested out on the trails.

What is sand skills training and why should I do it?
If you are considering an adventure that involves sand – think multi days or beach, then there are certain tips, hints and training you can do to improve your “sand hiking” fitness and skill level. The end goal is to have your legs as fresh as possible after time on sand.
This is particularly relevant additional training if you are doing our Yuraygir Coastal HikeThe Great Ocean Road Hike, Kangaroo Island or even our CoochieMudlo Funday
I haven’t done this before, will I be fit enough?
Our sand skills sessions cover all fitness levels from introductory right up to challenging. So no matter where you are in your fitness, you will be at the right level for the session. Those with a higher level of fitness will have the opportunity to do “repeats” than anyone starting out.
Do I need any special gear?
If you are planning on a multi day adventure that involves sandy trails then we strongly recommend you take your backpack and your hiking boots.
If you are participating simply to boost your fitness, sandshoes are fine.
As we are in soft sand at times, you may wish to lycra ankle gaiters to stop sand getting in your shoes.
Can I come alone?
Of course! Many of our adventurers start out not knowing anyone. By the end of the session, you would think everyone had been friends for years.

Should you wish to cancel for any reason, a refund will be given, less a 25% administration fee.
Strictly no refunds or transfers for cancellations made after 15th January.
