Paddy’s Peak Circuit Hike Sunday 30th June 2019

Paddy’s Peak Circuit is a delightful off-track hike and is the perfect introduction to mountain hiking without the exposure.

After crossing Barney Creek (bring a small towel to dry your feet) we head up a spur line which eventually takes us to Paddy’s Peak, but not before getting some amazing views of the Barney Massif.

The track is undulating and as we descend from the peak to our next saddle there is a little steep section. A manageable challenge.

Partway along the adventure we stop for our delicious High Tea of the Bush, with freshly brewed tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Our delicious homebake of the day is also included.

We then follow the contour around to another saddle and walk along the spur which gives us more great viewpoints.

We find a great spot to stop for lunch before continuing until we reach the firetrail that takes us to the end of our hike.

High Tea of the Bush with Womens Fitness Adventures

I am reasonably fit but have not done this type of thing before. Is it for me?

If you like an adventure and have a reasonable level of fitness, then this is the adventure for you. This is an OFF TRACK hike, which means our path is not always formed. Sometimes it can be rough or overgrown underfoot and we may be surrounded by high bush.

Our guides and the support of other members of the team are there to help.

This walk does have one creek crossing. You can take water shoes if you wish or you can simply remove boots and walk through the creek.

Can I car pool?

We always ask if anyone wants to share a lift. Once you are booked, we will put the call out. Members can also post requests in our Closed Member Facebook Group

What gear do I need?

We recommend a backpack to carry your water, snacks, lunch, camera and a windproof jacket. Hiking boots/shoes are recommended, however if you have comfortable walking shoes/joggers that are well worn in, then these will be fine.  Once your booking is confirmed we will send you a comprehensive list of essentials for the day.

Inclement weather

Please note that although we will endeavour to run this adventure in all weather conditions, some modifications may occur for the summit hike in inclement weather.  If this is the case, we will modify the original program to ensure we can still provide an outdoor fitness adventure of some variety on that day. Should we have to cancel the adventure due to poor weather conditions, you will be advised by text and email the evening before.  Should this occur, alternative arrangements for another date and/or refund will be made.
