I am reasonably fit but have not done this type of thing before. Is it for me?

If you love the outdoors and are a regular hiker, then this is the adventure for you. We grade this hike as Introductory Plus due to the steady ascent of the hike.
The Lookout at the top is the perfect spot for morning tea before we return on the same track.
Your Women’s Fitness Adventures C.R.E.W Leader is there to support you all the way.

What gear do I need?

We recommend a backpack to carry your water, snacks, lunch, camera, and a windproof jacket.
Hiking boots/shoes are recommended, however if you have comfortable walking shoes/joggers that are well worn in, then these will be fine.
Preference is for shoes with grip on the sole.

How far is the meeting point for the hike from Brisbane?

The meeting point is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes drive from Brisbane CBD. Our meeting time in Aratula to carpool for the hike is 7.30am. This does mean an early start if coming from Brisbane.
We anticipate being back to the cars/meeting point early afternoon (approximately), depending on the pace of the group.

Inclement weather

Please note that although we will endeavour to run this adventure in all weather conditions, some modifications may occur in inclement weather.
If this is the case, we will modify the original program to ensure we can still provide an outdoor fitness adventure of some variety on that day.
Should we have to cancel the adventure due to poor weather conditions you will be advised by text and email the evening before. Should this occur, alternative arrangements for another date and/or a credit or refund will be made.

Can I come alone?

Personal Health & Safety

To ensure your personal Health & Safety as well as that of your fellow walkers, we ask that, if you feel unwell, you do not attend. Please let us know via phone, email or text if this is the case
Please follow the principles of good hand hygiene, sneeze and cough into your arm and dispose of tissues accordingly.
If the leader at the start of the session deems that you are unwell enough to participate and you may jeopardise the health of others, you may be asked to leave.

Once your payment is received, you will receive an email confirming your place.
Strictly no refunds, credits or transfers for cancellations made after your payment is confirmed.

This program is suitable for introductory plus fitness levels.
By booking into this program you agree to our Booking Terms and Conditions, which includes completing our Participant Document for this adventure. If you have previously completed this document you will need to update it if there has been a change to any of your information, including medical history, since you last completed it.
If, on the day, you feel unwell, or unable to participate, you must immediately notify one of the leaders.
You should only participate if you feel you are medically able to do so.
If, at any time, the leader feels concerned about your ability to participate or is concerned for your safety, they may ask you to “sit out” or not participate in a particular program.
You accept that this is predominantly an outdoor activity in a bush setting and it carries associated risks, including but not limited to uneven surfaces, rocks, weather conditions and animals.
