Legends & Landscapes. Hiking Turkey’s Lycian Way | 19-28th September 2026
10 days – 9 nights
Not quite Europe. Not quite Asia. Definitely not your average hiking holiday.
This is Turkey’s Lycian Way, where sea meets sky, ruins rise from the earth, and every path leads to something extraordinary. On this Women’s Fitness Adventures exclusive, we take the best sections of this ancient coastal trail and weave them into a journey designed for connection, challenge, and that quiet kind of awe you only get when you hike under your own steam.
Across 8 hiking days, we hike approximately 75km. Our daily distances range from 6km to 16km with elevation gains between 200m and 850m. It’s an adventure suited to women with a moderate to above fitness level. And for those with a willingness to tackle a mix of terrain: from forested tracks to rocky trails and remote coastal paths. We’ve included a rest day mid-adventure and all hikes are fully supported.
We’re not here to race or tick boxes. We’re here to take it all in, at a pace that allows for laughter, learning and the kind of confidence that builds with every step. Saturday 19th September 2026
Arrive Oludeniz, Turkey.
Arrive into Dalaman airport and you will be met by our private transfer to travel to the seaside town of Oludeniz.
This postcard-perfect town welcomes us with turquoise waters, steep mountains, and that first deep breath of fresh Turkish air.
Depending on your arrival time, there may be time to settle in and explore before our adventure briefing and official Welcome Dinner at 7pm.
Accommodation: Town Hotel, Twin share.
Meals: Dinner

Sunday 20st September 2026
Oludeniz to Afkule to Oludeniz
Today comprises of two hikes and is the perfect introduction for our hiking days in Turkey.
Our first hike leads us to the atmospheric ruins of Afkule Monastery, perched high above the sea. From here, we head to the ghost town of Kayaköy and walk the scenic forest trail back to Ölüdeniz.
Whilst the trail is rocky and uneven in parts, the scenery will have you stopping at every turn.
Hike to Afkule Monastery: 2 km return | 45 min | Elevation: 232m–294m
Hike to Kayaköy to Ölüdeniz: 5 km | 2 hrs | Elevation: 150m–270m–0m
Hiking: Approx 3 hours
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Accommodation: Hotel|Twin Share Oludeniz

Monday 21st September 2026
Ovacik to Faralya
Today we officially lace up for our first full day on the Lycian Way.
The trail climbs steadily from the village of Ovacık, rewarding our efforts with expansive views across the sparkling coastline. Along the way, we hike through pine forests and mountain paths.
Our descent takes us into the peaceful village of Faralya, perched high above the dramatic Butterfly Valley.
Tonight, we rest in a tranquil hotel setting with views that remind us why we came.
Accommodation: Hotel style: twin share.
Meals: Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner
Hiking Distance: approx 12.5 km
Hiking Time: approx 5 hrs

Tuesday 22nd September 2026
Kabak to Alınca | Sidyma & Transfer to Kaş
A scenic hike this morning takes us up from Kabak Beach to Alınca, a quiet village perched high above the cliffs.
After lunch in the ancient site of Sidyma (a once thriving city dating back to the 4th century) we continue to the lively seaside town of Kaş, stopping briefly at the Roman-era Delikkemer Aqueduct.
Hiking Distance: approx 7 km
Hiking time: approx 3 hrs
Elevation: 30m–760m–750m
Meals: Breakfast| Lunch | Dinner

Wednesday 23rd September 2026
Today is a rest day and you can enjoy a well-earned break in Kaş, where the day is yours to enjoy as you please.
Take a boat trip, explore the colourful shops and cafés, or simply relax by the sea.

Meals: Breakfast | Dinner
Hiking Distance: NIL
(Note – as it is a rest day today and time is your own, lunch is at your own expense).

Thursday 24th September 2026
Ancient Myra, Santa Claus & Gelidonya Lighthouse
We step into history today with visits to Myra’s Roman Theatre and the Church of St Nicholas (yes, the original Santa Claus!).
After lunch in Finike, we hike to the Gelidonya Lighthouse, one of the most breathtaking viewpoints on the coast (and the highest coastal lighthouse in Turkey)

Friday 25th September 2026
Epic Coastal Hike – Adrasan to Çıralı
Today’s trail is one of the most scenic of the week, a full-day journey from Adrasan to Çıralı with panoramic views of the Mediterranean, quiet forest paths, and the ancient ruins of Olympos waiting at the end.
With 17 km of steady hiking and a climb and descent of around 700m, (so plenty of up and downhill) we’ll take it one step at a time, with plenty of stops, encouragement, and the support of your fellow CREW.

Saturday 26th September 2026
Mt Olympos Descent – Tahtalı to Beycik
This morning it’s a short transfer to the Tahtali to Olympos Cable Car.
We ascend by cable car to Mt Olympos (2365m) for spectacular views from every angle.
Then it’s time to hike down through sweet-scented cedar forests to Beycik. The views are staggering!
Hiking Distance: Approx 6.5 km
Hiking time: Approx 3.5 hours
Elevation: 2365m–1200m
Meals: Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner
Accommodation: Hotel: Twin Share

Sunday 27th September 2026
Çıralı to Çamburnu return
A double dose of adventure today!
First, we walk from Çıralı to Çamburnu and back (14 km) for sea views and sea caves, followed by lunch and an optional swim.
Then we visit the ruins of Olympos before our final hike at sunset to Yanartaş (Chimaera) – the eternal flames that flicker from the rocks.
Morning hike: Çıralı to Çamburnu return | 14 km | 3 hrs
Afternoon hike: Ulupınar to Çıralı via Yanartaş | 7 km | 2.5 hrs | Elevation: 240m–340m–0m
Returning to our hotel, we freshen up for our final dinner together – the Women’s Fitness Adventures Celebration & Awards Dinner.
Hiking: approx 5.5 hrs total
Accommodation: Town Hotel, Twin share
Meals: Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner

Monday 28th September 2026
Departure Day
Our adventure in Turkey is now complete.
There is one group transfer to the airport and times will be finalised when flight schedules are sorted. Should you wish travel to the airport outside of this time earlier, transport can be arranged (at your own expense).

Here's What You Get
During our Legends & Landscapes: Hiking the Lycian Way Fitness Adventure we will be staying in small hotels.
The rooms are clean and comfortable and are predominantly twin share.

In this itinerary we have catered for 9 breakfasts, 7 lunches and 9 dinners.
We have allowed for flexibility with some lunches where there are half day or rest and relaxation day options.
Please refer to each days itinerary for inclusions.
Whilst we do not supply alcohol, you are welcome to buy your own.
Remember alcohol is dehydrating and the goal is to hike each day so please be mindful of consumption.
Should you have any special snacks that you can’t live without, you are welcome to bring these with you or purchase over there.
Your experienced Women’s Fitness Adventures C.R.E.W. Leader is with you all the way.
From the moment you arrive in Dalaman, Turkey (or if you are travelling there together) until the time you leave she will be your ultimate fan and support.
Your C.R.E.W Leader is fully trained in Remote Area First Aid and is your first point of call once you are on the adventure.
We are also supported by a local Certified Hiking Guides who bring history, knowledge and the trails alive.
Within a few weeks of your booking being confirmed, you will have access to your Gear and Packing list.
By sticking to the list, you will be well prepared for the Legends & Landscapes: Hiking the Lycian Way Fitness Adventure.
Each day you will be required to carry your own day pack.
If you are new to adventures and do not have the gear, we recommend you watch the Masterclasses on topics such as boots, backpacks and raincoats.
Additionally, make contact with us via the Facebook Group or by contacting the office.
Your membership gives you access to a discount with our Adventure Store partner based in Brisbane. This generous discount is available for use in store, online or over the phone – so can be accessed wherever you live.
Your C.R.E.W Leaders are carrying Emergency Communications Equipment and a group first aid kit.
Our Legends & Landscapes: Hiking Turkey’s Lycian Way Adventure comes complete with its very own private Facebook Group.
This is designed specifically for maximum interaction and communication to ensure you never miss a moment in the lead up.
Additionally there are online meetings designed to bring the group together, check in on your training and provide any updates.

Is this right for me?
This is a MODERATE multi-day adventure – with added challenge thanks to Turkey’s rocky terrain.

Trails are rocky and exposed in parts. There are some parts that are close to cliff edges however the paths are wide and stable.

You’ll need strong legs and stable ankles to hike multiple days over uneven ground with a 7kg daypack, for both uphill and downhill.

A moderate and above level of cardio fitness is important – the trails are long and varied.

Balance and mobility are essential – surfaces range from sand and gravel to rocky tracks.

If you have a fear of heights, some exposed sections may feel challenging – but rest assured, our experienced C.R.E.W Leaders will support and guide you through every step.

Mental focus and a positive mindset help too – the weather is likely to be warm, with limited shade at times.

Frequently Asked Questions
Just a day pack – with your water, snacks, a light layer or rain jacket, sunscreen, and anything else you’d like for the day (like your phone or camera). Most packs weigh around 5–7kg.
You’ll get a full gear list after your booking is confirmed, so there’s no guesswork.

What’s the weather like?
September in Turkey is still warm. Think sunny days and mild evenings. Daily temperatures usually sit between 26-31 degrees celcius and night time temperatures may get down to 16 degrees celcius.
Weather can be unpredictable, so come with an open mind and a sense of adventure – no matter the forecast or the group dynamics.
If conditions change due to extreme weather or other factors, the itinerary may shift slightly. Your safety always comes first.
