Introductory

HikeStrong is all about getting fitter and stronger for outdoor adventures.

Each session our progressive, integrated hike training program targets a particular hiking fitness skill.

This session is graded INTRODUCTORY-MODERATE and is for you if:

  • you are currently walking regularly around your suburb
  • or are hiking on a regular basis and looking for a more structured approach
  • looking for hiking training in a social setting.

INCLUSIONS

What’s included?
  • Guided by your Women’s Fitness Adventures C.R.E.W Leader
  • All applicable National Park permits and fees
  • Emergency communications and group first aid kit
  • 3 hours of progressive, integrated hike training, targeted exercises and stretching

FAQs

I haven’t done this before, will I be fit enough?
  • HIkeStrong caters for introductory – moderate fitness levels. If you are exercising regularly and looking for a hiking workout with like minded women, then this is for you.
Do I need any special gear?
  • No, a pair of joggers or hiking boots, water bottle, hat, morning tea and sunscreen are all you need.
  • If you have a pair of shoes with grip (ie hiking boots/shoes or trail shoes) we recommend you wear these.
Can I come alone?
  • Of course! Many of our adventurers start out not knowing anyone.
  • By the end of the session, you would think everyone has been friends for years
 

Covid-19 Safe procedures

Women’s Fitness Adventures Operates under the Outdoor Recreation Activity Providers Covid Safe Industry Plan.
  • To ensure we have a Covid-safe environment, the following procedures are in place:
  1. Social Distancing – All participants are required to be 1.5 metres apart at all times
  2. The principles of good hand hygiene, sneezing/coughing into your arm and the use and disposal of tissues is mandatory
  3. Wash hands or use sanitiser regularly
  4. No food or equipment to be shared.
  5. If you feel unwell DO NOT attend.
  6. If you have recently returned from travel and not isolated for 14 days, DO NOT attend
  7. If the leader at the start of the session,  deems that you are unwell enough to participate and you may jeopardise the health of others, you may be asked to leave.

  • No refunds, credits or transfers will be given for this event.
  • Should this event have to be cancelled due to severe weather or an unforeseen event, including Government Advice, you will receive a full refund
