HikeAbout is all about getting stronger and fitter for outdoor adventures. HikeAbout is a combination of hike training and functional fitness activities.

If you are looking for a workout that gets your heart rate up, builds strength in your legs, teaches you functional fitness moves and finishes with a stretching session, then HikeAbout is for you.

Under the direction of your Women’s Fitness Adventures host, a Certified Personal Trainer, this workout will challenge your fitness levels, regardless of where you are at or your starting point. Our members tell us it is their favourite adventure of all.

INCLUSIONS

What’s included?
  • Women’s Fitness Adventures C.R.E.W Leader who is a Certified Personal Trainer
  • All relevant permits and fees
  • 2.5 – 3 hours of cardio, hills, functional fitness training and stretching
  • Group first aid support, with safety at the forefront of everything we do.
  • Public liability insurance, so you can focus on learning, not logistics

  • Part of being a responsible Commercial Operator is ensuring we have the necessary permits and insurances to operate safely and responsibly in our National Parks.

Here’s what happens when you book your spot:
  • You will receive a confirmation email and SMS with all of the details on exact meeting location; what to wear and what to bring
I haven’t done this before, will I be fit enough?
  • HikeAbout caters for moderate fitness levels. If you are exercising regularly then this is for you. Whether you’re just starting out hiking or looking to build your confidence, we’ll guide you through the essentials at a comfortable pace.
Do I need any special gear? Not at all! Just bring:
  • A pair of comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots (grip recommended)
  • A water bottle, hat, sunscreen
  • Morning tea 
Can I come alone?
  • Absolutely! In fact, most women join solo—but by the end of the hike, you’ll feel like you’ve known your fellow hikers for years. Our hikes are all about community, connection, and shared adventure.
Wet Weather
  • In the event of extreme weather we will contact you via SMS up to 2 hours prior to the hike start time if we need to cancel for safety reasons
  What if I Feel Unwell? Your health (and that of your fellow hikers) is our top priority. If you’re feeling unwell, we ask that you stay home and let us know via phone, email, or text.
  • Please follow good hygiene practices throughout the hike.
  • If our team feels you may be too unwell to participate safely, we may ask you to sit this one out.

We understand that life happens, and plans can change. However, to ensure the smooth running of our hike, please note the following:  
  • All bookings for Monday HikeAbout are final.
  • No refunds, credits or transfers will be available once payment is confirmed.

YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THIS ACTIVITY

HikeAbout is designed to be inclusive, supportive, and suitable for all fitness levels. Whether you’re brand new to hiking or looking to fine-tune your skills, we’re here to help you gain confidence on the trails. What You Need to Know: Health & Safety First
  • If you feel unwell at any point during the hike, please let your C.R.E.W. Leader know so we can support you.
  • You should only participate if you feel medically well to do so.
  • If our Leaders have any concerns about your ability to safely continue, they may ask you to take a break or sit out of certain activities—your safety is our top priority.
Preparing for the Outdoors
  • This hike takes place in a bushland setting, which means natural elements like uneven terrain, rocks, and changing weather conditions are all part of the adventure. We’ll guide you through how to navigate these safely.
  • As part of your booking, we’ll ask you to complete a Participant Document to ensure we have the most up-to-date information, including any medical details that might affect your participation. If you’ve filled this out before, please update it if anything has changed.
