Our Gold Coast Hiking is simply that. It is 2.5 hours of Hike Training, created to boost fitness through cardio and endurance – time on your legs

Each time the route may vary and could include hills, distance or varied surfaces.

Guided by your Women’s Fitness Adventures Leader, in addition to fitness, this session also covers the hiking essentials discussions – including gear and equipment (shoes) and hiking techniques and tips.

Designed as a training tool, Gold Coast Hiking is moderately paced and is suitable for anyone with a moderate level of fitness.

Also ideal for anyone seeking to:
– supplement their existing hike training when booked on a multi-day adventure
– boost their general fitness
– get fit for a hike or outdoor adventure

FAQs

Do I need any special gear?

No, a pair of joggers or hiking boots, water bottle, hat, morning tea and sunscreen are all you need.  If you have a pair of shoes with grip (ie hiking boots/shoes or trail shoes) we recommend you wear these.

Your C.R.E.W Leader will cover such topics as gear and equipment, importance of hydration and understanding the elements.

What level of fitness do I need?

Gold Coast Hiking is a moderately graded training session.  The session will involve hills and may involve uneven and rocky surfaces. You need to be comfortable getting out of breath. You also need to be able to hike for 2.5 hours with limited stops.

You may wish to consider our Introductory Trek Training Program or Hiking bundles as a suitable alternative.

Can I come alone?

Of course! Many of our adventurers start out not knowing anyone. By the end of the session, you would think everyone has been friends for years
